Extremely tired, so I will make this quick. (Divided into a separate post because Ostia image is pretty big, and when I'm less tired I want to attempt the Western Isles too, which will probably be big too. At some point I will also edit the Elibe map to point out the locations of the other major non-Lycian cities like Etruria, Remy, etc... Araphen and Laus comparisons have been added to the first post.)

PHERAE



I thought Pherae might be interesting to look at, but it turns out they're all in different areas so they don't really match up. That said, Rebecca's village is about halfway between Santaruz and Pherae (in fact, it's probably close to the border if not on the border), while the village bordering Bern is about halfway between Tania and Pherae. Basically, right near the mountain pass pictured on the Elibe map. The distance proportions are terrible, but the general picture is there I guess...

OSTIA



Ostia Castle is a frikkin labyrinth. (Even Barth/Wendy/Oujay get lost apparently. XD) I wouldn't be surprised if they house their entire army inside. -_- (Seriously, it's huge. Bigger than the castle at Aquileia even.... BUT, I suspect the proportions are just wacky and it's not actually as big as it seems. I mean yeah, Ostia is supposed to be huge, but I don't think it's meant to be the BIGGEST ASS CASTLE ON THE CONTINENT either. That said, we do see the most of Ostia throughout the two games, I guess.)

And sheesh Hector, fix those damn cracks already. XD

The throne rooms in FE6 and FE7 match up EXACTLY (I probably should have done this in GIMP with transparencies to make it more obvious, but too lazy); however, I'm not sure what's up with the entrances. Roy's army in FE6 heads in from the right, presumably from a side door. But at the same time they also appear to have made it to the main entrance from the outside? (I need to replay FE6 too.) In FE7 though Denning presumably storms the front/main entrance. Unless when they talk about Nergal opening up a space for them with magic, THAT's what they meant, and normally that entrance doesn't exist? SO, I don't really know.


SHRINE OF SEALS



Just for kicks btw, the Shrine of Seals. (The grass doesn't quite match up after 20 years... naturally.)


And now that I've gotten this out of my system, maybe I can start actually writing again. :P
